Am I eligible for a hot water heat pump rebate?

Most Victorian homeowners and many renters qualify for rebates under the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program when replacing an old gas or electric hot water system with an efficient heat pump. Eligibility depends on your location, property type and the system you’re replacing. We confirm it for free when you request a quote.

Is gas hot water being banned in Victoria?

Not exactly. Existing gas hot water systems can still be used and repaired as normal. From 1 March 2027, the rule only applies once a system reaches the end of its life and can’t be repaired, at that point it must be replaced with an efficient electric alternative, such as a heat pump.

How much does installation cost?

Cost depends on your existing system (electric or gas) and the rebate you’re eligible for. We’ll always give you a fixed, upfront price before any work begins, with no hidden costs.
